Dog Days of Spring

Tuesday April 30,2013 - Tuesday April 30,2013

Dogs are faithful, loyal, and love their owners without question. Whether young or old, rich or poor, clever or dull, most dog owners love their pets as much, if not more as their family members. The upcoming “Dog Days of Spring” event will be hosted to honor these beloved dogs and their special family connection.
“Dog Days of Spring” event captures a photographic portrait of your family dog. A portrait you are sure to treasure a lifetime. This event will consist of a portrait session of a family dog with session fees being donated to the Animal Protective League (APL). APL is partnering with Terry Farmer Photography this spring to promote awareness and raise funds for APL’s important animal welfare work.
APL is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for ill, injured, abused or homeless animals, and coordinating the adoption of those animals with responsible pet owners. APL also operates a high quality, lowcost spay/neuter clinic that is helping to end animal overpopulation. APL gives priority to sick and injured strays in our community. Each year, with the help of generous donors APL is able to house, rehabilitate, and adopt out, over 1,500 animals every year!
Supporting “Dog Days of Spring” and APL are local personalities including Justin Fowler (The State JournalRegister), Rick Brandt (Brandt Consolidated), Jeff Ball (Hanson Professional Services), Lucy Bagot (Ace Hardware), Bob Ritz (St. John’s Hospital), and Susan Koch (University of Illinois Springfield) to name a few. Call us at 698-6000 for a complete list.
Local personalities portraits will be on display for the public to view on April 19-30, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Town and Country Bank at 3601 Wabash Avenue, Springfield.

Join others in the community in helping APL, and have a photo taken during “Dogs Day of Spring” with your best friend ... the family dog.

Call now at 217-698-6000 to schedule a “Dog Days of Spring” dog portrait between March 1 and April 30, 2013.
