Group Exhibition

Monday February 25,2013 - Wednesday March 06,2013

Benedictine University at Springfield

A group exhibition will be on display from Feb. 7-March 6 in the Charles E. Becker Library on the Benedictine University at Springfield campus at 1500 N. Fifth St.  An opening reception for the artists will be held Thursday, Feb. 7 from 4:30-6 p.m. The exhibition features the work of several artists that includes Richard Ford, Shirley Harrold, Michael Houser, Marianne Stremsterfer and Jessica Wallace working all forms of media.

The concept behind the exhibition looks at how technology has changed our lives so much that many depend on technology for their work, family communication and daily activities. In a world that screams more – does this dependency create more or less?  Do we need more or less?

For more information about the art exhibition at Benedictine University at Springfield, contact Marianne Stremsterfer at (217) 525-1420, ext. 518 or mstremsterfer@ben.edu. The gallery is open from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and 12-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
