“i.e. improv,” the improvisational performance group at Lincoln Land Community College, will perform seven shows this spring semester. Performance dates are Feb. 13, 27, March 27, April 10, 24 and May 8, all beginning at 4:30 p.m. in Sangamon South room 0015. The public is invited, with viewer discretion advised. Tickets are available at the door for $2.
i.e. (the Latin abbreviation for “that is”) improv is comprised of LLCC students who perform unscripted, uncensored comedy. "i.e. improv" performs in a way similar to famous improv groups in Los Angeles and Chicago.
As a completely off-the-cuff show, this group takes audience suggestions and turns them into long-form improv. The students involved have all studied improvisation at LLCC. Company member Wesley Tilford commented, “The shows we put on are like putting all of your favorite foods into one big pot of delicious stew; it’s a treat for everyone."
