They'll be saying "I love you" in song next week-leaving many surprised, flattered and speechless. On Thursday, Feb. 14, singers from Samuel Music Company will fan out across the Springfield area to deliver Singing Valentines to special sweethearts. The sweet songs of love will ring out in offices, restaurants, schools and homes throughout the area.
"We're always trying to find ways to bring music into the community, and we thought this would be something unique and fun, not only for the recipient, but for the people all around him/her, said Mike Taft, Samuel Music store manager. "It's a great way for someone to make Valentine's Day unforgettable," he added.
Valentines will be delivered within city limits from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Gift givers have multiple songs to choose from, representing a variety of generations.
Valentines are priced at $25 and proceeds will benefit a local music program. "Music programs have been hard hit as budgets have been cut across the county. This is just one way where we can use our talented staff and associates to help continue to bring music to our community," said Taft.
To order a Singing Valentine, stop by the store at 3730 Wabash Avenue, or call them at 217-787-7788. Orders must be placed no later than Monday, Feb. 11.
