Spend your Sunday afternoon with two American artistic pioneers: Edgar Allan Poe, who gave us mystery and macabre, and Philip Glass, who gave us the sound of 21st century American music. Directed by Charles Brabin (THE MASK OF FU MANCHU), THE RAVEN highlights the trials and tribulations of Poe's tragically short life. In this special event co-presented by Chicago Opera Theater, THE RAVEN is enhanced with Glass?s music, performed live by pianist Michelle Schumann. Additional entertainment will follow the film, including live excerpts from the first opera of Chicago Opera Theater's 2013 Season, Philip Glass's The Fall of the House of Usher. Live piano accompaniment by Michelle Schumann.
