The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn will be performed at 2 p.m. on Feb. 3 at Sangamon Auditorium as part of the Family Series at the University of Illinois Springfield. Pre-show family activities will be available and will begin at 1 p.m.
Performed by the Classical Theater Project in Toronto, this adaptation of the novel by Mark Twain examines a shaky time in American history. In the backdrop of pre-Civil War American South, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn examined friendship and freedom in the face of rampant prejudice.
