The Sangamon Valley Community Orchestra invites you to Forces of Destiny: Verdi and Tchaikovsky! The Sangamon Valley Community Orchestra closes the 2012-2013 season with its new Music Director and Conductor Aaron Kaplan on Wed., May 22, 2013 at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, LRS Theater. The concert will feature Verdi's Overture to "La Forza del Destino," Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme Op. 33 featuring Amy Flores on cello, and Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake Suite Op 20a. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children under age 10 and can be purchased through the Hoogland Center for the Arts box office by phone at 217-523-2787 or in person at 420 S. Sixth St., Springfield, Ill.
