Drive To End Hunger AARP Donation Days

Did you know that nearly 9 million Americans 50 and older are at risk of hunger everyday? Not only can you help - but you can have fun doing it too! AARP Illinois and the Springfield Senior Center plan to fight senior hunger for the entire month of November. First, Springfield Senior Center is hosting a Springfield Food Drive Kick-Off Event on Nov., followed up with AARP Donation Days every Wednesday in November, where you will receive a FREE cloth shopping bag when you donate food. Mark your calendars - we look forward to seeing you on Nov. 1, and at least one Wednesday in November. For AARP Donation Days - bring in your non-perishable food items, mention AARP, and you will receive a FREE cloth shopping bag! Your donation will help restock the shelves at the Senior Center food pantry and will help to ensure that hungry seniors in Springfield receive food baskets this holiday season.
