Known as an “acoustic coastal, rock and roll, feel good vibe” band, Headshine keeps it poppy and positive, very refreshing for a modern rock band. Ras, the band’s singer and songwriter, pops up to play a central Illinois show after performing in Edwardsville. Ras may be bringing another player or just accompanying himself on the acoustic guitar, but either way the show should be uplifting and significant with a lovely sense of sweet music floating on the air. In 2009, a song written and performed as a one-time demo reached the ears of major label producer Jim Perkins and that kick-started the Huntington Beach, Calif., band toward the national stage. Now the group is traveling cross country to push Better Things as a single, promoting the fun flavor and affirmative actions of the up and coming group.
