The Ramblin Blues Band

By Tom Irwin

For over a year and half now The Ramblin Blues Band has traveled around the local music scene roaming through venues all over central Illinois. The quartet of Keeli Zerrusen (lead vocals), Matt Combs (bass), Josh Patterson (drums) and Ryan King (lead guitar) play a good variety of the greats including tunes by Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the Allman Brothers, Buddy Guy, Pink Floyd, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Ray Vaughan, CCR and Janis Joplin plus more modern standards by artists like Lucinda Williams, Derek Trucks, Joe Bonamassa, Grace Potter, Susan Tedeschi, Robert Randolph, Rusted Root, Ali Ruby and Alison Krauss. The group recently recorded Lonesome Roads, an all-original CD engineered by Scott Nichols at his Guitar Pit Studios in their hometown of New Berlin. Plans for the future include playing out more in the Springfield area, while increasing fan support and releasing new original music.
