A year ago, Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles became the talk of the town after a bang-up performance at the Bedrock 66 Live! concert series presented by WUIS at the Hoogland Center for the Arts and sponsored by E & F Distributors. Since then our pop-rockin, alt-indie, kinda-countryish singing Sarah from Boston has been busy playing every joint across the country, including a terrific show at the Americana Music Association conference, where a certain singer named Emmylou Harris added her compliments to the growing list of Borges believers. The group’s new recording on Sugar Hill Records, The Stars are Out, rocks harder than the earlier more contemplative and country-influenced albums, and is garnering rave reviews plus lots of radio airplay. Opening the Springfield show is our very own acoustic singer-songwriter Jessica Jolly. A $10 donation is suggested at the door in support of Barstool Open Charities as a suitable price of admission to this world class, hot rockin’ show.
