Looking for something fun for the family to do this weekend? Take the gang to KidsFest this Saturday. The Prairie Capital Convention Center will fill with games, activities and crafts for kids. For only $1 children can decorate their own cupcake or jump around with joy in one of the bounce houses ($5 wristbands are available). Clifford the Big Red Dog makes an appearance, as does the Springfield Fire Department and Illinois National Guard who will both have vehicles for kiddos to see. Stage entertainment takes place all day and vendors and exhibits will feature education, health, nutrition, summer camps and more. Concessions are available for purchase. Sponsored by ABE-FM, WYMG-FM, COOL-FM, WDBR-FM, WTAX-AM, CEFCU and Sonic, 25 percent of proceeds benefit the local Children’s Miracle Network.
