Head over heals

By Anita Stienstra

LEO will be performed at 8 p.m. Oct. 19 at Sangamon Auditorium, UIS, as part of the Visiting Artists Series. With no spoken words, the one-man show relies on physical theater to portray the story of Leo, a man who has found the physics in his world have been altered. The audience views Leo and a live video feed portrayed as life size and turned at a 90-degree angle so the floor becomes a wall and the wall, the floor. The video feed and the real Leo are viewed side by side. Produced by Berlin-based production company Circle of Eleven and featuring German performer Tobias Wegner, LEO uses music, dance, acrobatics, lights and the audience’s imagination to create a new, funny and surreal experience.
